What the NEW badge on a model means
Thirty days. No promotion, no negotiation. It's purely how recently the row landed in our catalogue.
Cards on the Models page sometimes show a small NEW pill next to the title. The rule is short: that model’s row in our catalogue was created less than 30 days ago.
That’s the entire logic — a date subtract on the client. No editorial process picks which models “feel new”, no marketing team decides who gets a spotlight. If the row landed in the catalogue this month, the badge is on; once the row is over 30 days old, the badge falls off automatically.
Why this particular signal: our model sync ingests the vendor catalogue regularly, and an admin flips a row to enabled when we’ve confirmed it works end-to-end. The badge tells you “this just became reachable, you might be the first to try it.” That’s a more honest invitation than “trending” or “hot” would be — we don’t have anywhere near enough usage data to claim either accurately.
