This Cookie Policy explains how VideoGen, operated by Nabla Technology Co., Ltd., uses cookies and similar storage technologies on the VideoGen website and in the creator app. It complements our Privacy Policy.
02What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file that a website asks your browser to store. It can hold a piece of information — such as a session token or a preference — that the browser sends back to the website on later visits. We also use closely related techniques: local storage, which keeps slightly larger pieces of data inside your browser, and pixel tags, which are tiny graphics that confirm a request reached our analytics endpoint.
Cookies are commonly grouped by lifetime. Session cookies disappear when you close the browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you remove them manually.
03How VideoGen uses cookies
We rely on cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, deliver a smooth experience, measure how the product is performing, and protect everyone from abuse. We do not use cookies to track you across unrelated websites for advertising.
04The categories we use
4.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Service to work. Without them, you cannot sign in, save a generation, or process a payment. They include:
- Session token — keeps you authenticated as you move between pages.
- CSRF token — protects forms from cross-site request forgery.
- Cookie-banner state — remembers that you have already seen and answered the cookie notice.
- Load-balancing cookie — keeps your requests sticky to a single backend during a session.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off through our consent banner because the Service would not function without them. You can still block them in your browser, but parts of VideoGen will stop working.
4.2 Performance & analytics
These cookies tell us which features people use, which pages run slow, and where people get stuck. They help us prioritise improvements. Identifiers are pseudonymised and aggregated. They include first-party cookies set by our own analytics endpoint and, where you have opted in, a small set used by Google Analytics.
4.3 Functional
These cookies remember your preferences so the product feels familiar each time you return — for example, the language you selected, the theme of the editor, or the preview size you last used.
4.4 Security & abuse prevention
We use cookies to recognise unusual sign-in patterns, throttle abusive automated traffic, and verify that someone trying to claim a free credit is a real new user.
05Third-party cookies
A small number of third parties may set cookies in your browser when you use VideoGen:
- Payment processors — to confirm and protect transactions during checkout.
- Aggregate analytics providers — to measure traffic and feature usage if you have opted in.
- Embedded video players — when a tutorial or hero video is embedded from a video host, that host may set its own cookies if you press play.
These third parties act as independent controllers and operate under their own privacy policies. We choose providers with strong privacy track records and configure them to collect the minimum needed.
06How to control cookies
You have two ways to manage cookies:
- The cookie banner we show on your first visit — accept all, reject non-essential, or pick categories. You can re-open the banner from the footer link “Cookie settings” at any time.
- Your browser settings — most browsers let you block, delete, or restrict cookies. You will usually find this under Privacy or Security settings. Mobile browsers offer the same controls in their app settings.
If you delete cookies, you may be signed out and lose preferences that we previously remembered. Strictly necessary cookies will be set again the next time you visit, because the Service cannot run without them.
07Do Not Track
Browser-level “Do Not Track” signals are not yet a settled standard. We honour the choices you make in our consent banner, which we consider a more reliable signal of your preference.
08Updates to this policy
If we add new categories of cookies or change how the existing ones work, we will revise this page and update the “last updated” date. Material changes will trigger a fresh banner so you can review your choices.
